In the shifting landscape of the new music industry, licensing has become more and more essential to creating a viable career for artists and labels. With that in mind, Penny Distribution helps it’s affiliates maximize the potential of their catalog in film, television, radio and a variety of different media.

Penny Distribution’s licensing service includes solicitation to music supervisors worldwide for inclusion in television, radio and motion pictures using both traditional and online methods, including our exclusive online licensing library.

Penny’s licensing staff has helped place music in a variety of media: from PBS documentaries to Hollywood productions and from small-run ad placements to partnerships with major brands.

In order to work with our licensing department, your artists should be registered with a recognized P.R.O. (performing rights organization) such as ASCAP, BMI or SESAC if you’re based in the US or PRS if you’re in the U.K. It’s a simple and worthwhile process that tracks monies from the performance of your music and pays them directly to you.
